<p>Affiliate marketing is the easiest and simplest way to start making money online.  It is a wonderful way to get started in the online industry mainly because it teaches you all of the basics for how to have success online.  But, your commissions are small and it takes time to learn how to successfully promote your campaigns.  A lot of affiliate marketers will tell you that you won't make any money in the very beginning and it could possibly be up to six months before you see your first sale.<br /><br />My experience with affiliate marketing has been overwhelming.  I had never ventured into this arena before so from trial and error I learned that it's best to get the proper education before diving into anything in this industry.  It will be extremely difficult for you to successfully build any type of business without the education and training on what is involved.  <br /><br />While doing research on affiliate marketing, I found a course that explained to me exactly what I needed to do every single day and by my third day I had made my first sale.  Yes, I was definitely shocked since I too had been told that it might be up to six months before I saw my first penny.  Some people never make a sale so I felt truly blessed.  By my third day I had made my second sale and it's only gone uphill from there.<br /><br />By learning what to do, how to set up your campaigns and where to place them, you can start having success with affiliate marketing.  But, you have to continue to do the work in order to see the results.  A lot of people think that they can throw a few campaigns up online and then everyone will start flocking to them and the sales start pouring in.  The truth is, the more information you put up for people to see, the more results you will get.   Consistency is definitely the key. <br /><br />The online industry is truly a fabulous place to be and anyone can venture into this and start making money.  That is, anyone who truly has the drive, determination, desire, faith and willingness to learn.  This industry is not for people who are lazy and it's certainly not for people who want to get rich quick.  Those types of schemes don't exist.  The people that promote those types of opportunities are just out to get your money and they don't care anything about your success.  <br /> <br />If you are interested in learning more about affiliate marketing and what it takes to get started, I invite you to continue through my three part series of articles on this subject.  Up next is "Affiliate Marketing for Beginners: Part 2".</p><strong>About the Author:</strong><br /><p>Adrienne Smith is a work at home business owner and she enjoys helping others find the same success.
